VSA Apprenticeship at the Williamstown Theatre Festival
Announcing the 2010 VSA Apprentices at the Williamstown Theatre Festival
VSA is happy to announce the 2010 VSA apprentices at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Nathaniel Barber and Nicole Kelly! Nathaniel and Nicole will work and take classes with over 60 other apprentices this summer, learning about the different aspects of running a professional theater company.

Nathaniel Barber is a native of Fishkill, NY. He has been involved with theater for over seven years, both as an actor and a technician. The 20-year-old student will be a junior at Ohio Wesleyan University this fall, where he majors in theater and has appeared in productions of Fashion, Twelfth Night, and as Billy Bigelow in Carousel. Nathaniel, who was born with seven fingers, credits his involvement with theater as helping him work hard toward his goals. He hopes to become a professional performer, and looks forward to the training and experience he will gain at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer.

Nicole Kelly, age 19, is completing her freshmen year in the Johnny Carson School of Theater and Film at the University of Nebraska. The Iowa native’s love of theater began in the fourth grade when she played the title role in a community theater production of Oliver. Since then, Nikki has performed in many shows including Our Town, High School Musical, Gypsy, and Footloose. Through theater, Nikki found confidence and a way to control the stares she received from being born with half of her left hand. Nikki is studying directing and theater management with a minor in dance.
