Welcome From the President

VSA arts president Soula Antoniou

For more than 35 years, VSA has been the international organization on arts and disability. At the dawn of a new decade—and with the introduction of a new look—this organization founded by Ambassador Jean Kennedy Smith continues to be the world leader in arts, education, and disability.

Our commitment to inclusive education is stronger than ever. VSA’s educational resources, classroom exchanges, and local and national education programs facilitate the inclusion of students with and without disabilities all over the world. VSA’s work also goes beyond the classroom to nurture emerging artists with disabilities through annual award programs, apprenticeships, and other opportunities.

To see the range and depth of VSA’s groundbreaking programs, visit Washington, D.C., June 6–12 for the 2010 International VSA Festival. Covering all art forms, all ages, and all disabilities, VSA is leading a new frontier—creating innovative arts opportunities for people with disabilities around the world.

Join us in our mission to make the arts accessible to all by getting involved in our many programs and spreading the word. Contact your local VSA affiliate and start changing perceptions about what people with disabilities are doing and can do.

All the best,

Soula Antoniou Signature
