VSA arts du Mali, also known as the Troupe Théâtrale des Personnes Handicapées de Bamako Hine-so, was founded in 1992 to provide disability awareness, to fight against discrimination, to illustrate alternatives to begging as a lifestyle for people with disabilities, and to promote the arts in Mali. The Troupe Théâtrale Hine-so is a multidisciplinary theater troupe, composed of artists with disabilities, that performs educational theater pieces, traditional music, songs, and dances at villages and cities around the country. The theater troupe is also a regular performer in the national festival "Théâtre des Réalités" organized annually by the Ministry of Culture and has performed on national television as part of a weekly cultural program. The Troupe Théâtrale Hine-so joined VSA in 2000.
