Organizational Snapshot:

The Panamanian Institute of Special Rehabilitation (IPHE), a governmental institution, handles child and youth disability issues and is the coordinating agency for VSA arts activities in Panama. IPHE organizes creative activities which promote the development of artistic skills in children with disabilities. Every two years, the affiliate holds a national arts festival that brings together children and youth from around the country to promote creative expression through art activities such as dance, creative movement, and the visual arts. IPHE joined the VSA arts affiliate network in 1989.
