Organizational Snapshot:

VSA arts du Sénégal, also known as Unité de Recherche et de Production pour la Promotion des Artistes en Dificultés (URPAD), is one of the few organizations in Senegal serving the needs of people with disabilities. VSA arts du Sénégal partners with non-governmental organizations, schools, and rehabilitation centers to encourage creative expression and honor artistic excellence in children, youth, and adults with disabilities. Programs offered by VSA arts du Sénégal include arts education workshops, dance workshops and performances, national arts festivals, and visual arts exhibitions. The organization has also established two dance troupes who perform both traditional and original pieces. VSA arts du Sénégal joined the VSA arts network in 1994.
