Organizational Snapshot:

Very Special Arts Singapore is dedicated to maximizing the enriching benefits of the arts for people with disabilities. Through comprehensive programming in visual and performing arts workshops, exhibitions, performances, and community disability awareness training, the affiliate provides life-long learning opportunities that promote integration into mainstream activities. Arts for Livelihoods (ALIVE) aims to develop the aesthetic skills of people with disabilities, disadvantages youth, low-income women, and senior citizens, enabling them to lead financially independent and productive lives. Very Special Arts of Singapore also helps artists find financial assistance through grants and awards, in addition to administering its own scholarship program. Vocational training and services, including the production of art directories, training manuals, and other accessibility information are also available through Very Special Arts of Singapore, as is a mentoring program involving volunteer professionals who provide training in design, production, and marketing.
