Organizational Snapshot:

Svenska Very Special Arts was established in 1988 under the aegis of the Scandinavian Institute for Expressive Arts to serve adults with visual impairments and physical disabilities. In September 1999, the affiliate opened its first permanent office housed at the Bräke Östergård Rehabilitation Center for Children and Youth. Svenska Very Special Arts conducts regular workshops for students and adults, as well as teacher training workshops in music, theater, and visual arts. In addition, the affiliate organizes bimonthly art exhibits at the rehabilitation center.
