Organizational Snapshot:
VSA arts of Trinidad and Tobago, housed under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education, is dedicated to enriching the lives of people with disabilities through the creation of opportunities for students with special education needs to participate in the visual and performing arts. VSA arts of Trinidad and Tobago is committed to ensuring that students with special education needs are able to express themselves freely through the arts and be given opportunities to display facets of themselves that are not always noted in the formality of the classroom situation. Through visual arts competitions, drama festivals, workshops, and exhibitions, VSA arts of Trinidad and Tobago promotes inclusion by involving both children with and without disabilities. Additionally, VSA arts of Trinidad and Tobago consciously chooses exhibition and performance themes which promote social responsibility in participants.
